Professional

I approach every student relationship with the utmost professionalism—clear communication, well-prepared lessons, and a commitment to high standards that families can trust.

Dedicated

Progress is measurable under my tutelage. I care deeply about my students’ success. Whether it’s staying late for an exam review or a last minute anxiety catch-up, you will find me a message away.

Well-Read

With a broad and deep academic background, I draw on diverse fields to enrich lessons—helping students connect ideas across subjects and think critically.

Reliable

Consistency is key to learning. I diligently strive to being dependable—always prepared, always on time, and fully invested in my student’s progress.

My child had a life changing experience under Mr Rehan's tutelage. His literacy: reading, spelling and writing- improved beyond belief. He went from not understanding letters and a lot of guess work, to reading little books. More importantly though his positivity and attitude to learning changed immensely. He grew fond of reading, rather than being frustrated and angry. He looked forward to all of his lessons with Mr Rehan. Mr Rehan is an incredible teacher for children of all levels.

Highly, highly recommend.”

Petta - Forest Hill

"We have been Rehan's client for a couple of years now. He is helping my child with science, math, and English. Reading comprehension has been particularly challenging for us but Rehan managed to find a way to make it fun and very effective. My son doesn't love books just yet but he doesn't mind reading anymore. Teaching our kid math Rehan was incredibly patient and able to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps. It changed our son's attitude to learning in general, and boosted his confidence. Rehan is the first tutor my son is looking forward to having a session with, and considering him as a friend. It has been a game changer for us. We are very grateful and highly recommend Sayeed's Foundations!"

"I'm incredibly thankful for the progress my kids have made with Rehan as their tutor. He has a special way of making reading both fun and effective, and he's really helped them advance in areas like understanding what they read, building a stronger vocabulary, improving their spelling, and thinking critically. Rehan's thoughtful, tailored approach was exactly what my kids needed, and I've noticed a big boost in their confidence and skills. His dedication is clear, and I couldn't be happier with the difference he's made. I'd highly recommend Rehan to any parent seeking a supportive and skilled tutor."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sayeed's Foundations teaching/mentoring philosophy?

“Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way,” said George Evans. I see teaching and learning as a shared journey—an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with concepts. That’s why I often find myself learning as much from my students as I hope to offer them.

My child is at the age where they should be reading, but they’re still struggling. When they do read, they don’t seem to understand it. Can you help?

Yes, I do. This is a common concern among many parents—and it’s more common than you might think. Young learners may struggle with reading and comprehension for a range of reasons, such as gaps in phonemic awareness, limited vocabulary exposure, or difficulty connecting sounds to meaning. In many cases, these challenges aren’t due to lack of effort, but rather the need for more targeted instruction.

I’m certified in the Science of Reading methodology, a research-backed approach that focuses on how children learn to decode, process, and understand text. I’ve successfully helped many early and developing readers overcome comprehension delays and build both fluency and confidence. My approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to your child’s pace and needs.

My child is in high school and a strong student, but they’re struggling to reach the top grade level. I’m worried they won’t get into their first-choice university program. Can you help?

Yes and no! While I can’t guarantee admission to any specific university program—since admissions are highly competitive and influenced by many factors—I can certainly help your child strengthen their academic foundation and work toward the top of their class.

Often, students in this position understand the material but may struggle with exam anxiety, time management, or the intensity of preparation required for high-level performance. To address this, I provide regular, structured practice through weekly tests and quizzes. With access to one of the largest databases of pre-exam questions from TDSB, TDCSB, IB, and AP curricula, these assessments are designed to mirror the types of questions students are likely to encounter. This means your child walks into exams with a sense of familiarity—prepared not just academically, but psychologically.

My goal is to help students perform at their full potential when it matters most.

Do you have experience working with students with learning challenges?

Yes, I do. For over five years, I’ve worked—and continue to work—with students who have a variety of learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum, students with dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger, behavioral challenges, and other learning differences.

While Sayeed’s Foundations is not a specialist center for any specific challenges, I partner with certified centres to address their existing client's academic and related behavioral needs. My approach is flexible, empathetic, and student-centered. I meet each child where they are, tailoring my methods to their unique learning style and pace. My focus extends beyond academic improvement to include confidence-building, motivation, and helping students feel a sense of success in their everyday learning journey.

My child is advanced and doing very well in school. Can you help them build additional skills beyond the curriculum?

Yes, absolutely. I often work with advanced learners who are seeking enrichment beyond the standard curriculum. Whether it’s developing a stronger command of written and spoken expression, engaging with age-appropriate texts in philosophy, honing argumentation skills through structured debate and critical reading, or exploring new languages and cultures—I design customized learning plans that challenge and inspire.

Students at this level benefit greatly from intellectual stimulation that encourages creativity, independent thought, and rigorous analysis. My goal is not just to expand what they know, but to deepen how they think. Enrichment sessions like these help students build cognitive flexibility, emotional maturity, and a lifelong love of learning—skills that serve them well in university and far beyond.

Do you offer university or private school admission support?

Yes, I do! As a graduate of a private school myself, I understand the unique expectations of competitive academic environments. I support students preparing for entrance into reputable private schools through test and interview preparation for the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), Canadian Achievement Test (CAT), and the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). Some of my rpevious students are at De La Salle College, WillowWood School, Upper Canada College, The York School, Toronto Prep School, and the University of Toronto Schools, among others.

For university admissions, I offer guidance on standardized tests including the SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, and CELPIP. More importantly, I work closely with students to craft compelling Statements of Purpose (SOPs), polished CVs, and strong portfolios.

To date, I’ve supported undergraduate and graduate students secure admission/interviews at research-intensive universities such as the University of Cambridge, McGill University, University of Toronto, Georgia Tech, University of Michigan, University of British Columbia, McMaster University, the National University of Singapore, and Caltech, among others.

Do you offer support for mature students or working professionals?

Yes, I work with professionals seeking to enhance their communication skills through interview preparation, accent modification, and business writing. Whether you're preparing for job interviews, aiming to speak more clearly and confidently in professional and public settings, or looking to refine your written communication, I offer personalized coaching to meet your goals. My accent modification support focuses on improving clarity, fluency, and presence, while business writing sessions cover emails, reports, presentations, and other workplace communication—helping you express yourself with precision, professionalism, and confidence.

What is the onboarding process like?

Once I receive your initial consultation request, I’ll follow up by email to schedule a brief introductory phone or Zoom call. This conversation helps me understand your family’s goals and your child’s specific learning needs.

I encourage all prospective clients to take advantage of a free trial session (virtual or in-perosn). This session allows me to assess your child’s strengths and areas for growth—and just as importantly, it gives your child a chance to get to know who they’ll be working with in the months ahead.

Following the trial, we’ll meet again to review my personalized pedagogical plan tailored specifically for your child. I’ll seek your input and work collaboratively to refine the lesson approach. During this meeting, we’ll also go over expectations, scheduling, logistics, contracts, and pricing.

Do you offer group tutoring sessions?

I primarily offer one-on-one tutoring sessions to ensure personalized attention and focus on the student's specific needs. However, group sessions for siblings/studymates can be arranged.

Do you offer Homework support?

Yes, I support students with their school learning—but I DO NOT do the homework for them. My goal is to help your child take ownership of their learning, building the confidence and skills to tackle assignments independently.

Wouldn’t it be more rewarding to hear your child say, “I did the homework, but I need help with this one (or two) question”? That’s exactly what my current students often tell me—and that’s the spirit I aim to nurture: independent, responsible learners who aren’t afraid to ask for help when they truly need it.

What is the duration of each tutoring session?

Tutoring sessions typically last for a minimum of 90 minutes, but can be adjusted based on the student's preferences and needs.

Do you charge hourly or offer some form of discounted package?

Both! While hourly sessions are available, most of my clients opt for one of the available packages (Monthly / 50 hours / 100 hours / 150 hours) for greater flexibility and overall value.

Hourly rates range from $75 to $160, depending on the service, grade level, mode of instruction (virtual or in-person), and length of commitment. Discount and installment options are available for hourly packages.

For an estimated quote, please reach out with the following details: your child’s grade level, current academic average, school and program information, specific learning challenges, and your preferred mode of instruction (online or in-person). This helps me tailor the support and pricing to your child’s unique needs. Exact quotes are provided after the introductory meeting and/or the trial session.

I accept payments via cheque and e-Transfer. Official invoices and receipts are provided via email.

I can’t afford your services, but my child REALLY needs help. Would you still consider working with us?

Learning should never stop because of financial hardship. While there are logistical limitations around time and scheduling, I do my best to accommodate requests from families in genuine need. Each month, I dedicate approximately 20-25 hours of virtual teaching and mentoring time to support students who may not otherwise have access—particularly newcomers of any background, refugees from war-torn areas, and those facing unexpected financial challenges.

This service is offered on a donation basis, with no set hourly rate—pay what you can. Importantly, the quality of instruction is in no way reduced. Students receive the same care, preparation, and individualized support as those in my regular programs.

If you believe your child could benefit from this support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I do my best to accommodate such requests and prioritize students who I feel would benefit most from the opportunity. I hope to formalize this initiative as a dedicated program in the future.

I’d like to support your 'pay-what-you-can' program. How can I donate hours or contribute?

Thank you for your generosity. If you’d like to contribute to the pay-what-you-can program—by sponsoring a student’s learning hours or supporting the initiative in other ways—I’d be glad to connect with you directly. Your support helps ensure that high-quality, personalized education remains accessible to students who need it most.

Clients who have previously donated hours have chosen to do so either anonymously or with acknowledgment, depending on their comfort level. I’m happy to honor whatever form of giving feels right to you—quiet support or named contribution, both are equally valued.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss current needs and ways you can contribute. Together, we can help ensure that every student has a fair chance to thrive.
